Jordan continues to face growing climate-related challenges that are increasing the country’s vulnerability to disasters. Rising temperatures, prolonged droughts, and more frequent flash floods are placing significant pressure on water resources, agriculture, and livelihoods. These impacts threaten long-term development progress and the well-being of vulnerable communities.
In response, Hands of Mercy International, working in collaboration with national stakeholders and research partners, conducted a comprehensive assessment of Jordan’s climate change adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR) landscape. The study examines existing policies and frameworks, identifies key gaps and implementation challenges, and provides actionable recommendations to strengthen resilience efforts.
