Hands of Mercy International (HoM) implemented an emergency response initiative in the Philippines to support communities affected by disaster. Working in close coordination with government structures and local actors, HoM mobilized resources from its emergency fund to address the immediate needs of displaced populations.
Through this intervention, more than 500 families received critical assistance. The support provided focused on stabilizing affected households, ensuring access to essential needs, and helping families begin the process of recovery. This response reflects Hands of Mercy International’s commitment to delivering timely, community-centered humanitarian assistance in times of crisis.
A key strength of the intervention was the collaboration with local stakeholders, which enhanced the reach and effectiveness of the response. By working alongside community actors and government partners, HoM ensured that support was responsive to local realities and aligned with ongoing efforts on the ground.
Despite the progress made, the needs remain significant. Many families continue to face challenges related to displacement, loss of livelihoods, and limited access to basic services. In light of this, Hands of Mercy International is actively seeking to expand its response.
HoM calls upon partners, donors, and well-wishers to join hands in scaling up this effort. Strengthened partnerships will enable a broader and more sustainable impact, ensuring that more vulnerable families receive the support they need to recover and rebuild their lives.
