What
Hands of Mercy International’s malaria prevention and control program in Haiti is designed to strengthen both community and health facility capacity to effectively diagnose and treat malaria, while promoting awareness and preventive practices at the community level.
Implemented in partnership with the local non-governmental organization FOSREF, the program places a strong emphasis on reaching children under five years of age and pregnant women—two groups most vulnerable to malaria-related complications.
With an implementation budget of USD 100,000, the project supports community outreach, capacity building of health workers, improved access to diagnostic services, and the promotion of preventive behaviors. Through these efforts, Hands of Mercy International continues to contribute to reducing malaria incidence and improving health outcomes in affected communities.
