Whitney served as a Clinical Pharmacist with Hands of Mercy International, supporting the delivery of essential healthcare services and strengthening access to safe and effective medication for vulnerable communities in Mutomo, Kenya.

Whitney, originally from Idaho, holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Idaho State University and brings over four years of experience as a clinical pharmacist. Her professional background includes both retail and hospital pharmacy, with a strong focus on pediatrics and women’s health.

During her placement, she played a key role in:

• Supporting safe medication management and distribution, ensuring appropriate use among high-risk and vulnerable populations 
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to improve medication adherence and patient outcomes 
• Contributing to community health education, promoting awareness on proper medication use and overall wellbeing 

Her experience working with high-risk patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams strengthened Hands of Mercy International’s efforts to enhance healthcare access, patient safety, and quality of care in underserved communities.
