The programme prioritizes grassroots and community-based organisations working to improve the well-being of vulnerable women, children, and families in underserved communities.
This international call for proposals addresses local organizations based in ODA-eligible countries with an average annual revenue between $60,000 and $500,000.
Hands of Mercy International provides funding between $10,000 and $500,000 for locally led projects aligned with HoM’s mission and strategic priorities.
Updated Application Procedure to Simplify the Process
Hands of Mercy International has updated its application process to introduce an initial eligibility assessment before inviting applicants to submit a full project proposal.
This three-step process reduces the workload for organizations that may not meet the eligibility criteria and ensures that only qualified applicants proceed to the full proposal stage.
Eligibility Screening Process
After submission of the initial eligibility information:

Organisations will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible following each review cycle.
Rolling Application Process
The Hands of Mercy International Small Grants programme operates on a rolling application basis.
Applicants are encouraged to submit early to allow sufficient time for review and any potential clarifications.
The duration of the projects covers a minimum of twelve months and a maximum of two years.
Budget must be within the limits specified in the email that will be sent to eligible organizations. HoM Small Grants selects project proposals with a total funding volume between USD 10,000 and USD 500,000. Furthermore, the requested funding volume must not exceed the average annual revenue of the implementing organisation over the past three years.
Projects must be implemented on a local, sub-national or national level.

Perfect English is not required. However, at least one team member should have sufficient working proficiency in English to ensure effective communication with HoM.
